WELCOME

On behalf of everyone at Thomas Whitehead CE Academy, we would like to welcome you to our website.

Thomas Whitehead CE Academy is a Church of England School where we are proud to follow Christian Values, which are embedded into the daily life of the school. We are pleased to welcome children from 2-11 years and celebrate the gifts and talents of every person as uniquely created in the image of God. I am really proud to be the Headteacher of this school and I strongly believe that every child has the right to flourish and meet their full potential, showing us their amazing abilities. Through providing a rich curriculum and opportunities for reflection and worship our aim is to create wise, hopeful, aspirational, independent, resilient, reflective, determined and respectful learners who will be supported and empowered to be the best they can be.

Whilst we shall continue to offer a varied and enriched curriculum through, music, sports, visits and visitors, I will also be ensuring the children excel in the core skills of reading, writing and maths and that we focus on maximising the progress of each and every child.
Every child truly matters here at Thomas Whitehead CE Academy and we are committed to the highest standards in protecting and safeguarding the children entrusted to our teaching. We work to help the children to develop a lifelong love of learning. My aim is to work closely with children, staff, parents, community and The Church to ensure that everyone feels a valued part of school life.

f you would like to see our school for yourself, then please contact the school office to make an appointment on 01582 865466. We would love to show you around.
Many thanks for your support in working with us to make this a great school for our children.

Very best wishes

Mrs Val Britnell Headteacher
